AI Outbreak in EFL!

  We just finished creating our AI-integrated material for EFL students on a highschool prep level, marking the end of our endeavours. We'll talk more about that in another post later. As for the material itself, it aims to teach our dear students how to effectively utilize Generative AI tools in their learning. This is a need nowadays beacuse students today mostly use AI to avoid actually putting in effort to complete their assignments. Not only is this a case of plagiarism, but also using AI this way only rots our brain. This happens because we don't use our brain to produce, but to use it if only deemed necessary, which is quite harmful for the development of skills and critical thinking.

 The creation of this material was quite easy to complete, since it only involved using Microsoft Word. My partner, Eray Sezer and I created the document and the table, which was deemed suitable by the both of us. The task involves comparing your input with the one made by AI, based on the same parameters. The document includes a comparison table sheet to complete the assignment. Overall, this is quite a simple task that incorporates artificial intelligence in our production to see what kind of differences are there and use those differences to improve one's skills in writing and critical thinking. Although this may seem too basic for any advanced level students, this material was designed for highschool EFL prep students, which are perfect fit for the job.
